bio
I am a Registered Social Worker and Psychotherapist practicing Dialectical Behaviour Therapy. Holding a BA, BSW, and MSW, I am registered to practice Social Work by the respective regulatory colleges in the provinces of Ontario (OCSWSSW) and Newfoundland and Labrador (NLCSW).
In my current role, I deliver Dialectical Behaviour Therapy in private practice, and I am proud to be a member of the team at Broadleaf Health, one of only three DBT-Linehan Board Certified clinics in Canada. I see individual DBT clients (adults and adolescents), provide parent coaching, support families impacted by Borderline Personality Disorder, deliver 24 week Comprehensive DBT Skills Groups, and deliver DBT training. Additionally, I am privileged to have the opportunity to support Canadian First Responders.
In my previous role, I developed and implemented programming and provided clinical leadership to a team responsible for the delivery of a comprehensive DBT Program within Newfoundland and Labrador's largest health authority. I also provided psychoeducation, skills development, and delivered Comprehensive DBT to individuals and groups.
Prior to entering private practice, I was privileged to support individuals and families across the lifespan and in various capacities for over a decade. I prioritize applying an intersectional, trauma informed, and culturally safe lens to my practice and strongly believe in its importance in all work that seeks to meet health needs. I am a positive, dynamic, and confident professional who is passionate about helping clients build lives worth living.
