dbt-lbc certification training program
Broadleaf Health is one of three certified Dialectical Behavior Therapy-Linehan Board of Certification (DBT-LBC) certified programs in Canada and was the first DBT-LBC Certified Program in Canada to provide trainings to clinicians both inside and outside of the clinic. Broadleaf Health offers a structured Dialectical Behaviour Therapy certification training program for therapists. This program has been created in collaboration with past trainees and staff who have been successful in achieving DBT-LBC certification.

our DBT-LBC certification training process includes:
Attending an approved DBT training or in-depth review of training materials with a senior DBT clinician.
Guided reading of essential DBT texts, such as Dr. Marsha Linehan’s original DBT treatment guide: Cognitive Behavior Therapy for Borderline Personality Disorder (1993).
Participation in a DBT-LBC Certified DBT Consultation Team.
Video review with a senior DBT clinician, in which you review videos that past Broadleaf Health clients have given consent to be used for training purposes.
Video review with a senior DBT clinician of DBT appointments in which you have offered DBT to a client.
when you pursue dbt-lbc certification through broadleaf health, we provide additional support, including:
NO FEES FOR SUPERVISION
For trainees choosing to work at Broadleaf Health, Broadleaf Health does not charge trainees for the provision of supervision. This is the case for trainees in supervised practice and trainees who have achieved autonomous practice and are interested in deepening their learning of DBT. This is a cost saving to the trainee-clinician of approximately $10,000 over the standard practice of charging trainees for clinical supervision.
PAID CERTIFICATION FEES
Broadleaf Health pays for the cost of the DBT-LBC Certification process.
BONUS
We provide a significant monetary bonus to clinicians who successfully complete the DBT-LBC Certification process, and commit to becoming a Broadleaf Health clinician for an agreed period of time.
ABOUT THE TRAINERS
Broadleaf Health is one of three Dialectical Behavior Therapy-Linehan Board of Certification (DBT-LBC) Certified DBT Programs in Canada. Broadleaf Health’s multi-disciplinary staff have applied DBT to a range of therapeutic environments including private practice, hospital, housing support, and others.
Our staff also have extensive experience providing trainings throughout Canada. Broadleaf Health staff are registered and/or provide services in multiple Canadian provinces and territories, including Newfoundland & Labrador.
