A registered psychological associate with the College of Psychologists of Ontario and a registered psychologist with the Nova Scotia Board of Examiners in Psychology. Alyssa sees individual adult clients and also co-facilitates DBT groups for adults.
She has completed trainings and extensive supervision in Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy for Eating Disorders (CBT-E). She has a special interest in treating individuals with PTSD, specifically due to sexual assault, birth trauma, and workplace exposure to trauma (first responders).
She completed her Masters of Psychology at Adler Graduate Professional School where she did extensive research in eating disorder prevention and interventions. Alyssa offers clinical supervision to mental health professionals and has her clinical supervision certification through the University of Ottawa.
Alyssa is passionate about offering evidence-based interventions that are most likely to provide relief from suffering and mental health symptoms. She also provides psychodiagnostic assessments for mental health conditions and personality disorders.
